Agape Mission
FAITH-BASED ADDICTION RECOVERY
Table of Contents
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
01
Purpose
We believe that lives can truly be transformed and given ultimate purpose in the presence of a Holy God. Our program is both gospel-centered and evidence-based — grounding every healing journey in identity found in Jesus Christ.
02
What We Believe
THE TRIUNE GOD
We believe in only one God, Creator and Lord of all things, who has revealed himself as three persons in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and serves as the only authoritative source of instruction and guidance for our lives.
OUR HUMAN CONDITION
We acknowledge that although God created people good, we fell into sin and therefore need salvation from God’s judgement against their sin.
SALVATION
Salvation is a gift of grace which can only be received through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who purchased forgiveness for our sins by his death on the cross.
A NEW CREATION
Since we are forgiven through Christ’s work, we now have a new identity in Him as saints who are loved by God.
OUR SANCTIFICATION
The Holy Spirit works in all believers, a heart of repentance so that they can live a life of sanctification and thankfulness before God.
OUR CALLING
All God’s people are also called to live a life of stewardship that glorifies God and blesses others.
03
Operational Framework
The Need
Life can be challenging for believers battling addiction or mental health concerns. More scripturally based, practical resources are needed to support individuals and families.
PURPOSE
To serve Christians experiencing the effects of substance abuse and provide biblically based addiction services to individuals, families, and communities.
STRUCTURE
Provide confidential outpatient services and residential environments delivered through one-on-one counselling, faith-based step work, accountability groups, and community education.
LOGISTICS
Offer comprehensive addiction care with medical model governance and Reformed spiritual oversight in the areas of Haldimand-Norfolk and Owen Sound.
FRAMEWORK
A Board of Directors will work with existing medical resources, therapeutic services alongside biblically based, Christ centered addiction programming.
WHO WE HELP
Supporting those with life-dominating struggles with alcohol or drugs, we meet them at various stages of change through the gospel of confession, repentance, and the pursuit of freedom in Jesus Christ.
OUR VISION
In the model of Galatians 6:2, we seek to bear one another’s burdens, asking for God’s blessing and the Holy Spirit’s powerful work in redeeming, restoring, and sanctifying individuals.

3 Phase Approach
Phase 1 - Outpatient Services
Beginning January 2026, outpatient addiction services will include psycho-educational groups with biblically based, Christ centered direction.
Certified addiction counsellor will work through our 10-step program with clients
Our services will centre around the individual while also providing their family with the resources they need to support them.
Phase 2 - Inpatient Development
We desire, with God’s guidance and provision, a large property to develop a site for men and women, serving as a blank canvas for Agape’s expanding vision.
Agape would offer inpatient care for 30-, 60-, and 90-day treatment intervals
After graduating from our inpatient services, individuals will be supported in their reintegration through our outpatient services, developed in Phase 1.
Phase 3 - Medical Integration
We seek to develop further services tied to our addiction supports, focusing more broadly on mental health care.
With additional medical integration, we can support those experiencing various mental health conditions or struggles.
It is more blessed to
give than to receive.
It is with the words of our Saviour and Lord that we invite you to walk alongside us, and build a foundation for real, lasting transformation.
06
Our Ask
We humbly request your support through prayer and by walking with us in this mission. Here are some other ways you can support us:
We ask for your feedback on the concept. How can we best serve the faith community?
We are seeking one-time start-up investments to launch Agape Recovery.
Monthly corporate investments are necessary to maintain a steady operational cash flow while Phase 1 is underway.
We are seeking a Capital investment for Phase 2 along with potential land for the development of this idea.

FAQs
Q. Is Agape affiliated with a specific denomination?
A. The structure of the Agape Board falls under the NAPARC conference of churches or those churches that subscribe to the Three Forms of Unity. All staff would have to subscribe to our statement of faith and code of conduct.
Q. How are the donations managed?
A. Until we have charitable status, donations will be handled through an organization called The Great Commission. When we achieve charitable status, we will partner with an accounting firm to ensure proper practice and accountability.
Q. What kind of support is available in Phase 1?
A. Phase 1 is listed as outpatient care. This phase allows for screening, addictions counselling, group workshops, and development of continuing care programs with other agencies.
Q. Will Agape be utilizing government funding?
A. Where possible we will be utilizing government funding opportunities with the mindset of protecting the independence of the mission. We are researching ways to ensure that we are be stewardly and aware of the programs that exist to further the mission of Agape.
Q. How is Agape different from Family Outreach?
A. Family Outreach directs inquiries to resources. Agape would be the destination for the start of the recovery plan/program.
Q. What if Agape cannot help an individual in need?
A. As part of our screening process, we will work in collaboration with other organizations to assist the individual and family through the recovery process.
Q. How is this different from "Teen Challenge"?
A. Agape Recovery Centre works with people who are balancing support in their lives while maintaining their other callings. We are walking through the gospel with very practical recovery tools while still maintaining their other commitments. Teen Challenge is a 1-year commitment.
Q. How can I volunteer or get involved?
A. It is imperative that we uphold strict confidentiality. For this reason, we will likely hire staff for Phase 1. There may be a rotation of things like meals or baking that the church community could support with.
